ISLAMABAD: The Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA) has asked to increase electricity tariff by Rs 5.32 per unit due to fuel adjustments for December 2023.
The application has been submitted to the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), raising fears of additional financial burden on consumers who are already facing rising energy costs.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA), on the request of DISCOs, has sought NEPRA’s approval to increase electricity tariff under the FCA from November 2023. The power regulatory authority is scheduled to hold a hearing on the matter on January 31.
