KARACHI, July 31: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and humid weather across most parts of Sindh over the next 24 hours, with rain, thunderstorms and isolated heavy downpours expected in several districts.
According to the Met Office, rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms is likely during the evening or night in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Karachi, Matiari, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Sukkur and surrounding areas.
The PMD has also warned of isolated heavy rainfall in some locations during the forecast period, which may lead to localized urban flooding in low-lying areas.
Despite the expected rainfall, hot and humid conditions are expected to persist across most districts of the province.
The Met Office has advised residents, particularly those in low-lying and flood-prone areas, to remain updated on weather advisories and exercise caution during thunderstorms and periods of heavy rain.
