PMD advises citizens to be extra cautious as dense fog likely to prevail in different parts of country

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) advised citizens to exercise extra caution as dense fog is likely to prevail in Islamabad, plains of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh this evening.
The daily weather report issued by PMD on Wednesday said, “Dense fog is likely to continue in Islamabad, plains of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh. Due to persistently cold daytime temperatures, areas affected by the fog are likely to experience very cold weather. Citizens are advised to exercise caution.”

Weather report for the last 24 hours
Cold and dry weather prevailed in most areas, while in the northern parts and in the north of Balochistan, on the contrary, it was very cold. Dense fog/smog prevailed over Islamabad, Pothohar region, plains of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.
Today’s lowest minimum temperatures recorded (°C): Leh -12, Skardu -10, Kalam, Gilgit, Astore -7, Kalat, Gupis, Srinagar -5, Chitral, Mirkhani -4, Bunji, Dir, Hunza, Parachinar, Rawalakot and Quetta -3.
