ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed deep concern over the devastating wildfires in France, saying the disaster and the suffering of affected communities were deeply disturbing.
In a post on X, the prime minister extended heartfelt sympathies to French President Emmanuel Macron, the Government of France and the French people, particularly those who have been displaced or otherwise affected by the fires.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those battling these fires and the communities in their path. We hope the situation is brought under control as soon as possible and recovery efforts move forward quickly,” he said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with France during this difficult time and said the country stands ready to provide any assistance if needed.
