RAWALPINDI: Managing Director of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi, Ahmad Hassan Ranjha, has said that tree plantation and the promotion of a green environment are essential to tackling growing environmental challenges.
In a statement, he said PHA is working to transform Rawalpindi into a greener, cleaner and more environment-friendly city in line with the vision of the Punjab government.
He said tree plantation is not just a campaign but a national responsibility to provide future generations with a healthy, clean and pleasant environment. He added that climate change, rising pollution and increasing temperatures have made the planting of trees more important than ever.
The managing director said PHA Rawalpindi is taking practical steps to expand green spaces, improve parks and beautify the city, while encouraging citizens to actively participate in tree plantation efforts for a healthier and more sustainable future.
