The appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq reserved the decision to hear the petition.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq asked the petitioner why he was saying that this placement was wrong.
According to the Constitution, there is a difference between an elected and a caretaker prime minister, and the power to appoint the PCB chairman as patron-in-chief rests with the prime minister.
“An official of the Prime Minister cannot be the chief patron of the Pakistan Cricket Board, a lawyer. So you are saying that the caretaker prime minister did not have this authority,” asked the chairman of the senate.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq got angry with the petitioner for speaking while writing the order.
“You talk when you write the order, so I don’t write it. Wait for my order,” observed Chief Justice Aamir Farooq.
