A Pakistani Woman Dies in U.S. Aviation Accident; What Was Her Last Message to Her Husband?
In a tragic incident in the U.S., all 67 people aboard a military helicopter collided with a passenger aircraft and were killed, including a Pakistani woman.
According to international news agencies, the Pakistani woman who died in the Washington plane crash has been identified as Isra Hussain.
Her husband, Hamad Raza, was at Reagan Airport to welcome his wife when sudden chaos broke out at the airport. The arrival of rescue teams and ambulances caused anxiety among those present, increasing everyone’s concern.
Hamad Raza explained that when repeatedly asked, airport authorities confirmed the plane accident, and the news left him devastated.
He further shared with the media that his wife had messaged just 15 or 20 minutes before the plane’s landing, saying that they would be landing at the airport.
Isra Hussain was returning from Wichita, Kansas, where she had gone on a business trip via a domestic flight from Washington when the accident occurred.
Hamad Raza mentioned that his wife was scared of flying and always tried to avoid air travel.
Local media reported that 26-year-old Isra Hussain and 25-year-old Hamad Raza had married just two years ago and both graduated from Indiana University.
Hamad Raza’s father, Dr. Hashim Raza, is originally from Karachi and serves at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
