The International Military Sports Council is in charge of overseeing the 4th World Military Games, which will take place in Caracas, Venezuela, from August 16 to August 23. 142 nations are taking part this year, including Iran, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Russia, and Turkey.
The Pakistani team participated in a number of competitions, such as track and field and shooting. Bringing honor to the country, Chief Warrant Officer Mueed Baloch of the Pakistan Air Force earned a gold medal in the 400-meter event on August 20. In addition, Pakistan Army’s Sepoy Muhammad Akhtar won a bronze in the 5000-meter competition.
This is the first occasion that a Pakistani Armed Forces team has taken home medals from the World Military Games. A ceremony to present awards to Pakistani and other accomplished athletes in Caracas, Venezuela, where medals will be awarded to the victorious competitors. The winning athletes thanked the country for their support and promised to keep bringing home gold for Pakistan.
