According to a private TV channel, a trained team at a company located in Karachi’s SITE industrial area is currently testing parts. Quality control staff conducts four types of testing through artificial lungs over a period of 21 to 22 days. Akbar Alanna, Director of the ventilator manufacturing group, stated that 100% of the design and 80% of the parts are made in Pakistan. He also mentioned that the ventilator will be available in the market by February.
The price has been set at 3 million rupees, which is less than half the cost of imported ventilators. He further added that the ventilator meets international standards, and its clinical trial has already been completed. The ventilator will be exported to countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and others.
