Weddings are typically occasions where the bride and groom, along with their families, begin preparations months in advance, inviting relatives, friends, and acquaintances to join the celebration. The event usually sees a large number of guests. But can you imagine a wedding where no guests attend?
Kalina Mary, a TikToker from Oregon, shared a deeply unpleasant experience from her wedding day on social media. Kalina posted a video on TikTok that quickly went viral, showing her and her husband Shane, along with their son, entering a grand wedding hall that was almost empty.
In the video caption, Kalina wrote, “This is our wedding entrance video, where only 5 guests attended. I had dreamed of walking into a wedding hall where a crowd would cheer for us, but instead, there were only 5 people at my wedding.”
She added at the end of her post, “This was not the wedding I had imagined.”
Kalina and Shane have been together for 9 years and have a son. They had dreamed of having a beautiful ceremony with friends and family present. Kalina and Shane sent digital invitations to 75 people and personal mail invitations to 25, but only 5 people attended their wedding.
