LAHORE: President of NICL & NICAT, Mr. Ayub Ghauri, has expressed strong support for the environmental campaign of the Environment Protection and Climate Change Department (EPCCD), appreciating Punjab’s efforts to promote sustainable development and reduce environmental pollution.
Ayub Ghauri welcomed the province’s initiatives in key areas including forestation, renewable energy, electric vehicles and emissions reduction, describing these measures as important steps towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
He emphasized that innovation, artificial intelligence (AI) and modern technology could play a significant role in accelerating environmental transformation and helping institutions develop smarter solutions to emerging climate and environmental challenges.
The NICL and NICAT president also highlighted the importance of collaboration between government institutions, technology organizations and the private sector to translate environmental policies into practical and scalable solutions.
He congratulated Senior Minister Ms. Marriyum Aurangzeb, Secretary EPCCD Ms. Silwat Saeed and the entire EPCCD team for their efforts to advance Punjab’s environmental agenda.
He expressed hope that continued investment in technology, innovation and sustainable practices would help Punjab strengthen its environmental resilience while supporting cleaner energy, greener transportation and improved air quality.
