The National Incubation Center for Aerospace Technology (NICAT) in Rawalpindi recently marked an important milestone with the inauguration of its third cohort under the auspices of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
With the capacity to accommodate up to 100 startups, NICAT offers a comprehensive one-year training program for aspiring entrepreneurs. Equipped to host two batches every year, the center is a joint venture with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, Pakistan Aviation Complex (PAC), Ignite, Air University, and National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP).
NICAT is a launch pad for startups and start-ups, providing critical support to turn innovative concepts into viable businesses. Through access to leading research and development facilities, mentoring programs, networking events, industry partnerships and investor connections, NICAT creates an environment conducive to growth and innovation.
Upon completion of the program, NICAT graduates will be able to transform the aerospace industry by offering innovative products and services to the global market.
This strategic investment by SIFC demonstrates its commitment to promoting innovation in IT and AI in Pakistan, positioning the country as a leader in the region.
