Zilqad 1445 Hijri did not appear in Pakistan, so the month of Syawal will end on Thursday, May 9, and Friday, May 10 will be Zilqad throughout the country.
The announcement was made by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the official moon sighting agency in Pakistan.
Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Syed Abdul Habir Azad presided over the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting.
The announcement came after reports of no sighting of the moon from various parts of the country.
