The Meteorological Office said Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to receive rain on Thursday along with rain showers expected at some parts of eastern Balochistan.
Thunderstorms occurred in and around Samahni area of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), heavy rain continued for several hours in Koh-e-Sulaiman, Shirani and Danasar.
Rain forecast in Karachi
According to the Met department, there is a possibility of rain at several places in Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal, Hyderabad, Dadu, Badin, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar and Nawabshah during today evening or night.
Flood risk in KP
Local rivers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir and Mount Sulaiman are at risk of flooding due to heavy rain.
On Wednesday, the highest temperature in the country was measured in Turbat at 48 degrees Celsius. Karachi, Multan, Muzaffarabad recorded 41 degrees, Peshawar 40 degrees, Islamabad, Lahore and Quetta 39 degrees and Gilgit 35 degrees.
