Islamabad – Mondelez Pakistan has partnered with Shams Power to increase confectionery and powdered drinks and provide 2.2 MW of solar energy at two installed capacity sites. This initiative aims to improve sustainability and reduce carbon emissions.
Shams Power will install the equipment, manage the operation and maintenance of the solar system during the contract period and transfer the equipment to Mondelez Pakistan at the end of the contract.
The project will contribute approximately 3.3 million units of clean energy each year to Mondelez’s electricity mix and offset 1,500 tons of carbon emissions each year. This waste reduction is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 1,000 households.
