Islamabad: Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education (SOE) at LUMS organized its third practical exhibition conference. This event showcases the main projects carried out by LUMS MPhil Education Leadership and Management students during one semester with partner organizations.
The conference was attended by more than 500 participants including faculty, MPhil students, senior administration of LUMS, representatives of partner organizations and experts from the education sector. LUMS Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ali Chema praised the projects created by the students and said, “The work done by the students of the School of Science is amazing. They collaborate with school leaders and education providers in the country. This is the core of BUMN’s philosophy of unifying education and practice to change the face of education in Pakistan.
The one-day conference featured a gallery of presentations and initiatives completed by students in various fields including pedagogy, inclusive education, leadership, educational technology, arts education, community development, early childhood education and vocational education. The conference also featured several panel discussions on key issues in education and possible practical solutions.
Addressing a meeting on inclusive education in Pakistan, Mr. Richard Geary, Founder and Program Director, Family Education Services said, “Pakistan is a land of opportunity because there is so much to do, to stop you from destroying anything. If you are willing and creative, you will find people who will support you and make it happen. maybe.”
Dr. Tayyaba Tamim, Dean, Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education, emphasized the importance of strategic industrial partnerships and said, “Our work with partner organizations and institutions that explore innovative solutions. Pakistan’s educational challenges cannot be solved in silos. Industry collaboration discusses the relationship between research in universities and practice in schools. BUMN cooperates with various educational institutions. This is how we combine experience and research.
