Latest update: Eidul Fitr date in Pakistan

The meteorological department in Karachi has issued a forecast regarding the sighting of the Shawwal moon, indicating that there is a chance of its sighting on April 9.

According to the department, the new moon will be born on April 8 at 11:21 p.m. Weather conditions are expected to be clear in most parts of the country, making moon sightings auspicious. However, there may be some cloud cover in northern areas.

On April 9, the Moon is estimated to be between 19 and 20 hours old, with visibility over 50 minutes after sunset.

Earlier, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee also indicated the possibility of observing the month of Ramadan on 29th, based on scientific calculations.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad suggested that Eidul Fitr could potentially be celebrated in Pakistan on Wednesday 10 April.

With these findings, anticipation is building among the masses for the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr, pending official confirmation of the Shawwal moon sighting.
