PESHAWAR: In a historic move, Suraya Bibi’s name has been officially confirmed for the post of Deputy Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, marking a historic shift in the political landscape of the region.
According to reliable sources in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party leadership has pushed for a woman to fill the role of vice-chairman. As a result, Suraya Bibi emerged as the front runner for the position.
Hailing from PK-1 Chitral constituency, Suraya Bibi secured victory in the general elections representing Banu, Chitral and c regions.
In addition, she serves as the Vice President of the Malakand Women’s Wing of Tehreek-e-Insaf and is known for her dedicated social work in the community. Notably, Suraya Bibi has a Master’s degree in Sociology, underlining her academic credentials.
