ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence, Defense Production, and Aviation Khawaja Muhammed Asif presided over a meeting on Thursday and the Aviation Minister gave a detailed briefing on the role of the Ministry of Aviation, National Aviation Policy 2023, challenges faced by Pakistan Aviation. industry.
The Minister was also briefed about the entities working under the Ministry, including Pakistan Airlines Corporation Ltd, Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan, Airport Authority of Pakistan, Air Traffic Safety Investigation Authority, the Air Port Security Force and Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Briefing about PIACL, the minister noted that the priority of this government will be to privatize PIACL. He also praised the joint venture to redevelop the Roosevelt Hotel for mixed-use. Khawaja Asif has shown his determination to develop Pakistan’s aviation industry in terms of increasing its contribution to the country’s GDP.
