Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has invited Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi to watch her upcoming film Emergency.
According to Indian media, the 38-year-old actress is currently busy preparing for the release of Emergency, which is set to release on January 17. Kangana mentioned that she has extended an invitation to Priyanka Gandhi to watch the film.
The film, based on the 21-month period from 1975 to 1977, focuses on the emergency imposed by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, citing internal and external threats to the country. Kangana plays the role of Indira Gandhi in the movie.
In an interview, Kangana shared that she met Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament and, during their conversation, told her that she should watch the film. Kangana said Priyanka responded in a very polite manner, saying, “Yes, maybe I will watch it.”
Kangana expressed her belief that the film offers a sensitive and thoughtful portrayal of a significant event and personality. She added that she had done extensive research on Indira Gandhi and believes she was a great leader. “Becoming Prime Minister three times is no joke. Everyone should watch this film,” she concluded.
