Renowned Pakistani actress, writer, and singer Javeria Saud has criticized the excessive obsession with branded clothing in society, calling it an unnecessary trend.
During a recent interview on a private TV channel, Javeria Saud shared her views, stating that people often question her if she doesn’t wear branded clothes.
She explained, “As media professionals, we have traveled the world, worked in countless places, and met many people. But here, if you wear simple clothes or don’t opt for a brand, people start saying that you have no class.”
Javeria further elaborated, “Class is when you wear something worth 100 rupees but look like a million bucks. It’s not about wearing expensive clothes and still looking unimpressive.”
Her viral video sparked discussions online, with many users appreciating her perspective. Commenters agreed with her views, criticizing the growing trend of chasing expensive brands instead of valuing personal style.
