Rain Continues in Islamabad as District Administration Remains on High Alert

ISLAMABAD: Rain continued across the federal capital on Thursday, prompting the district administration to remain on high alert and intensify monitoring of areas vulnerable to water accumulation.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, teams of the district administration are closely monitoring low-lying areas and stormwater drains to respond promptly to any situation arising from the ongoing rainfall.

Sanitation teams have also been deployed in the field to ensure timely drainage of rainwater and prevent prolonged waterlogging on roads and in vulnerable locations.

The administration said field teams would continue monitoring the situation and take immediate action wherever drainage-related problems are reported.

Citizens have been advised to remain cautious during rainfall and avoid unnecessary movement near drains and other vulnerable areas.
