The temperature in Lahore dropped to 37 degrees Celsius due to continuous rain. The sudden change in weather brought relief to residents who had been dealing with hot conditions for days.
Similarly, parts of Lahore like Ferozwala, Muridke and Kasur also witnessed rain, which turned the weather from hot to cold. Alseri residents are grateful for the refreshing change, saying it is a relief from the sweltering heat.
Heavy rains continue in Kasur and provide much-needed relief to residents suffering from the heat wave. While the rain is welcomed for its cooling effect, there are temporary power outages in some areas, which often happen during heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in parts of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab today. Residents of Islamabad can expect hot weather during the day, and rain is expected at some places in the evening.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will continue to experience hot and dry conditions.
