In the international bullion market, gold prices rose by $13 to $2,352.
On the other hand, in the local currency market on Wednesday, 24 carat gold tola was priced at Rs. 2400, Rs. 242,700, 10 grams of gold is also worth Rs. 2058, Rs. 208,076.
Bullion market officials said the local price remained below Rs 3,000 despite rising international prices due to weak purchasing power in the local currency market and a significant drop in gold trading activity.
Similarly, a silver tola costs Rs. 100 to Rs. 2900 and 10 grams of silver cost Rs. 85.74 to Rs. 2486.28.
