The Punjab government has announced an interest-free and easy-installment loan scheme for individuals wishing to build their own homes across the province.
Under this scheme, the Punjab government will provide a loan of 1.5 million rupees for home construction. This amount must be repaid over 7 years, with no payments required for the first 3 months. Subsequently, the monthly installment will be 14,000 rupees.
The loan will be granted if the land is up to 5 marlas in urban areas and up to 10 marlas in rural areas. The scheme does not involve banks to avoid their own requirements. The process to apply for this loan program has been made very simple.
The scheme is launching simultaneously in all cities of Punjab. If you have land, you can obtain loan information from the DC office. The government plans to expand this scheme to every corner of Punjab over the next 5 years.
