Victoria: A new study by experts has revealed a correlation between the height of ceilings in exam halls and student performance.
Experts noted that while the design of a room may not inherently make an individual more alert, the environment we are in does affect us.
These effects include our ability to maintain focused attention and achieve mental goals.
The study, published by the University of South Australia and Deakin University, highlights the difficulties that high ceilings in large open rooms pose for students in maintaining focused attention on immediate goals.
Previously, some researchers also conducted another study showing how experts used brain mapping technology and virtual reality to discover scientific abilities and relationships between an individual’s environment.
