Jamal Beker Abdullah, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Coordinator of the Federal Minister and Prime Minister of Pakistan on Climate Change. Dr. Abiy Ahmed at the University of Sialkot in the presence of government officials, religious communities, businessmen, students, civil society and the media.
The initiative was launched as part of a partnership between the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Ministry of Climate Change and the University of Sialkot.
More than 200 plants of various indigenous species were planted in the initiative of the Ethio-Pakistan Brotherhood in Green Heritage, followed by climate walks in the city with the participation of many people.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Jamal Baker thanked the Embassy of Ethiopia and the Government of Pakistan for fostering brotherhood and brotherhood between the two great countries.
To this end, FDR said the Ethiopian Embassy has launched the Green Legacy Initiative to contribute to the efforts of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan towards a greener and cleaner future for future generations.
The Ambassador said that the Embassy and other stakeholders will conduct mass planting in other major cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura and others within the week.

In addition, more than 150,000 kindergartens and more than a million jobs were created in the country.

The Coordinator of the Prime Minister of Pakistan said that he was pleased to officially announce the cooperation between the Embassy of Ethiopia in Islamabad and the Ministry of Climate Change of Pakistan in the green heritage initiative for the Ethiopian-Pakistani brotherhood.
He is Prime Minister H.E. Shehbaz Sharif gave a nod to formalize the partnership between the two countries and assured the Pakistani government of its strong commitment in this regard.
