In a move aimed at providing relief to the common man, the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday night announced a significant reduction in the price of petroleum products.
According to the report, the Prime Minister confirmed that the price of gasoline has decreased by $5.45 per liter and the price of diesel by $8.42 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the new petrol price is $288.49 per liter and HSD is $281.96 per liter.
“The new oil prices will be effective for the next two nights from May 1,” he said.
This step is expected to provide significant relief to residents who have been bearing the price of fuel for a long time.
A drop in fuel prices can have a positive impact on the economy in general, as it will reduce transport costs and, consequently, lower commodity prices.
