The 23-year-old son of a former Indian cricketer and coach has undergone gender transformation through hormone replacement therapy.
According to Indian media, Aryan shared the news of their gender transition on social media, stating that they had always felt they were not the person their assigned gender identified them as.
In a long post on Instagram, Aryan described the journey of transitioning from a boy to a girl and the struggles they faced over the years. After spending 22 years as a boy, receiving an education, and growing up, Aryan began hormone therapy in 2023 and became a transgender woman after 11 months.
Aryan, now known as Anaya, continued her passion for cricket and is currently playing in the UK.
