Amid rising tensions between the U.S. and Russia, and the looming fear of a third world war, American families have begun purchasing nuclear bunkers worth $50,000.
Todd Stump, a businessman from Ohio, has sold hundreds of these bunkers across the U.S., from Pennsylvania to California. He mentioned that this year has been particularly busy for his company in selling these shelters.
These luxurious bunkers are equipped with kitchens, bedrooms, and even artificial windows to create the illusion of being above ground. Typically constructed from 0.25-inch thick steel plates, some specialized bunkers also feature thick concrete walls. Their sizes can range from 8 feet by 20 feet to 1,000 square feet or more.
According to Todd Stump, these bunkers are designed to protect against extreme weather or any kind of human catastrophe, such as nuclear war, terrorist attacks, or chemical and biological warfare. He further stated that given the unfolding global events, people are seeking peace of mind, hoping that in the event of a disaster, they will have an option and not need to worry about anything.
