The son of renowned Bollywood director Ashwini Dhir, Jalaj Dhir, has tragically passed away in a dangerous road accident.
According to Indian media, 18-year-old Jalaj Dhir lost his life on November 23 in a severe car accident on the Ville Parle Highway in Mumbai. In the accident, Jalaj’s friend, Sarathik Kaushik, also lost his life, while two other individuals in the car were severely injured.
It is reported that Jalaj and his friend, after attending a party in Goregaon East, went for a drive at 3 a.m. where the car met with an accident due to excessive speed. The car was reportedly traveling at a speed of 120-150 km/h, and the driver, Sahil Menda, was allegedly intoxicated. Due to the speed and the driver’s impaired state, he lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a divider on the road.
After the accident, a friend named Jimmy informed the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested the driver, Sahil.
It is worth noting that Ashwini Dhir has directed films such as Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge and Son of Sardaar. Jalaj was set to attend the screening of his father’s new film Hisaab Barabar at the International Film Festival of India.
