ISLAMABAD : H.E. Jemal Beker Abdula, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was called on by the Federal Secretary for Aviation, H.E. Saif Anjum and discussed possible areas of future cooperation with Pakistan in the field of aviation.
The two sides discussed in detail matters of mutual interest, including bilateral cooperation in knowledge sharing and technology transfer in the aviation industry.
On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula expressed his gratitude for the crucial support provided by the Government of Pakistan for the launch of Ethiopian Airlines in Karachi.
The Ambassador briefed the Secretary on the pivotal role played by Ethiopian Airlines in the effective implementation of Pakistan’s “Look Africa and Engage Africa” policies aimed at strengthening intergovernmental, people-to-people and business-to-business relations. -trade relations between Pakistan and African countries.
He also highlighted the growing popularity of Ethiopian Airlines among the people of Pakistan who fully appreciate the services offered by one of the largest airlines in the world.
On the other hand, the Federal Secretary for Aviation, H.E. Acknowledging the key role played by Ethiopian Airlines in bringing Africa closer to Pakistan, Saif Anjum assured the ambassador of his institution’s support in promoting bilateral cooperation in the aviation sector.
