Potential areas of economic cooperation were discussed during a bilateral meeting between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on Thursday at the Ministry of Finance in Islamabad.
H.E. Dr. Eyob Tekalign Tolina, State Minister of Finance, headed the delegation from Ethiopia, while H.E. Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Finance Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, led the group from Pakistan.
During the high-level meeting between the two nations, H.E. Jameel Ahmad, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and senior representatives from the Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were also present.
The topics of mutual interest, such as the bilateral cooperation in the financial sectors of both countries, were well-discussed by the parties.
The two administrations reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing their bilateral economic cooperation.Earlier, Dr. Inayat Hussain, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, met with H.E. Dr. Eyob Tolina, State Minister of Finance for FDR Ethiopia, and his entourage.
The two nations’ collaboration in the financial sector was the main topic of discussion during the conference.
