EPA KP to Hold Online Public Hearing on September 1 for Environmental Complaints

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environmental Protection Agency (EPA KP) will hold an online E-Khuli Kachehri on September 1, 2026, allowing citizens to directly submit environmental complaints, concerns and suggestions to the provincial environmental regulator.

The session will be chaired by EPA KP Director General Tariq Ali Khan (PMS, BS-20) and will begin at 2pm on Tuesday. The initiative is being conducted under the provincial government’s Good Governance Roadmap to improve public participation and access to environmental authorities.

Citizens invited to submit complaints

EPA KP has invited residents to register their complaints and participate in the online public hearing through a Google Form provided by the agency.

The agency said the digital hearing is intended to provide citizens with a convenient and transparent channel for reporting environmental problems without having to visit government offices in person.

Focus on environmental monitoring

According to EPA KP, the initiative will help authorities identify environmental issues more promptly and facilitate their resolution through greater public involvement.

The online forum is also aimed at encouraging community participation in environmental monitoring and supporting the effective implementation of environmental laws across the province.

EPA KP said greater engagement between citizens and environmental regulators would contribute to efforts aimed at building a cleaner, safer and more sustainable Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
