Renowned Pakistani actor Dur-e-Fishan Saleem revealed that her first project was originally supposed to be a film.
However, she opted out of the project due to the objectification of women depicted in the film.
The actress, known for her role in ‘Ishq Murshid’, shared with the digital magazine that the project eventually went ahead with another actor. She expressed gratitude to God for not being a part of it.
“My only concern whenever I do a film is to do what suits me. And it’s not about singing and dancing, I love singing and dancing, in fact I’m a trained Kathak dancer but at the same time I want to represent our society,” she added.
The actress, who initially entered television with a supporting role, revealed that she was also offered the lead role. However, she deliberately chose to play a supporting character in her debut rather than commit to a lead role in a soap opera and endure a demanding schedule of 100 or 200 days.
