SHEIKHUPURA, September 7, 2026: Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab conducted a field inspection of a pyrolysis plant in Sheikhupura to assess its environmental compliance and operational practices.
During the inspection, the DG EPA reviewed the plant’s operations and examined measures related to environmental protection and regulatory compliance. The visit focused on ensuring that industrial activities are carried out in accordance with applicable environmental standards and responsible operational practices.
The inspection reflects the Punjab government’s continued efforts to strengthen environmental monitoring and enforcement across the province, particularly in industrial areas where effective regulation is essential to minimize environmental impacts.
Pyrolysis technology can be used to process certain waste materials into useful products, but its environmental performance depends significantly on appropriate technology, emissions control, waste handling and compliance with environmental regulations.
