DG EPA Punjab Inspects General Bus Stand to Monitor Vehicle Emissions

LAHORE: Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab, Syed Musa Raza, visited the General Bus Stand to inspect heavy transport vehicles (HTVs) and review measures aimed at controlling vehicular smoke emissions and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

During the visit, the DG inspected several HTVs and assessed the implementation of emission control measures to curb air pollution caused by smoke-emitting vehicles. He emphasized the importance of strict adherence to environmental regulations to improve air quality and protect public health.

Syed Musa Raza said the Environmental Protection Agency Punjab is continuing its enforcement campaign against vehicles violating prescribed emission standards. He stressed that regular inspections and strict compliance with environmental laws are essential for reducing pollution and creating a cleaner environment.

The DG reaffirmed EPA Punjab’s commitment to taking firm action against environmental violations as part of the provincial government’s broader efforts to ensure cleaner air and promote a healthier Punjab.
