Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting to review school education reforms.
The CM said that the delivery of textbooks cannot be delayed, in a briefing, the educational institution said that 41% of the textbooks have been provided to the Chief Minister, the rest of the textbooks will be completed in May, and the textbooks for the next academic year. will be issued in February.
In the meeting, Maryam Nawaz ordered a new mechanism to appoint a CEO and DEO in each district. Then the selection will be done only after some tests, interviews, and computer training.
Instructions were also issued to implement a comprehensive procedure for selecting CEO, DEO, and DDEO.
In that meeting, Maryam Nawaz said that all educational institutions should be given to special children in every district in government schools and one school should be dedicated to the education of special children. Transgender schools will also be established at the departmental level.
In the meeting, a proposal to set up a standardized mathematics test board for the Punjab School Inspectorate was discussed.
It is proposed to centralize all matters of school education.
The proposed agency will work on Punjab Education Teachers and Curriculum Development, School Development, Teacher Training, Curriculum Development, Test and Evaluation, and Learning Outcomes.
In the meeting, it was agreed to hold the biggest school hockey league in Punjab and Pakistan “School Olympics”.
The Prime Minister’s new storybook on environmental pollution and climate change was also launched.
