Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister has expressed commitment to local production of solar panels. Minister Shafi Hussain met with a delegation of Chinese solar companies and discussed the establishment of a solar panel factory.
Shafi Hussain said that the provincial government is going to manufacture solar panels locally, while Chinese companies will invest in the solar industry and the government will facilitate it.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce has indicated that Chinese companies are willing to invest and that it is a good time to invest in solar energy in Punjab, and they have outlined their long-term policy plans.
