A new study has revealed that nearly half of teenagers in the United States are using social media on a regular basis.
According to a recent survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, 46% of children aged 13 to 17 admitted to spending a significant portion of their time on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or YouTube.
This rate is 24% higher than it was a decade ago, although the Pew Research Center notes that this rate has remained consistent in recent years. Overall, 96% of teenagers reported using the internet daily.
The teenagers said they use smartphones, computers, gaming consoles, and tablets to access the internet, with many indicating that they have access to smartphones.
The survey was conducted between September 18 and October 10.
