BUNER: A meeting between the Buner Wildlife Division and local elders of Malka Mahaband Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) highlighted the importance of community participation in wildlife conservation and protection of natural resources.
The local elders appreciated the continued cooperation between the Buner Wildlife Division, the Wildlife Department and the community, particularly initiatives aimed at community development and conservation.
The community representatives expressed hope that joint efforts and collaborative initiatives would continue in the future to strengthen wildlife protection and support local communities.
DFO Wildlife Buner Sajjad Haider assured the elders that the Wildlife Department would continue working closely with the local community to promote wildlife conservation, protect natural resources and support sustainable community development.
The meeting highlighted the importance of involving local communities in conservation efforts, particularly in areas where the protection of natural habitats and wildlife is closely linked with the livelihoods and wellbeing of nearby communities.
Stronger community-wildlife partnerships can help improve conservation outcomes while building local support for the long-term protection of natural resources.
