ISLMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir met Deputy Superintendent of Police Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi on Wednesday and appreciated her brave act of rescuing a woman from a violent mob in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar.
The Army Chief appreciated ASP Naqvi for her selfless devotion to duty and professional handling of a tense situation which helped calm the charged crowd.
“A fearless officer rescued a woman from a difficult environment in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar on February 26,” said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations.

The army chief reiterated the importance of upholding the law and warned against resorting to vigilante actions, instead advocating the use of legal avenues to address grievances and concerns.
