The Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari, held a courtesy meeting with His Excellency Ambassador of Kingdom of Morocco in Pakistan, Mohammed Karmoune, at the Embassy of Morocco here on Friday. This meeting marked a crucial moment in the humanitarian relationship between Pakistan and Morocco.
The meeting provided a platform for both parties to discuss issues of mutual interest in humanitarian aid and disaster relief. President Laghari emphasized the strong cooperation between the two countries in solving humanitarian problems.
During the debate, Chief Laghari reviewed the ongoing programs and projects of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society and highlighted the organization’s commitment to serving vulnerable communities across the country. Emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and solidarity in the effective resolution of the humanitarian crisis, he thanked HHR for events such as the Morocco International Donor Conference.
Chief Laghari said HHR expects support from the Moroccan government, especially during the recovery period after the 2022 monsoon floods. He also said that the Moroccan Red Cross and Red Crescent wants to develop cooperation with the Moroccan government and other humanitarian organizations in line with its mandate to reduce the suffering of vulnerable communities in Pakistan. President Laghari extended an invitation to Ambassador Mohammed Karmoun to visit HHR National Headquarters, which was well received.
Ambassador Mohammed Karmoune thanked Chief Lagaria for the detailed information and insight on the floods. Sardar Shaheed Ahmed, Chairman of Pakistan Red Charity, praised Lagari for his continuous efforts to help the needy, especially in times of crisis.
