PDA Chairperson Urges Youth to Make the Most of Daanish IT Park

ISLAMABAD, October 14, 2026: Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) Chairperson Dr. Sohail Munir has urged young Pakistanis to take full advantage of the newly inaugurated Daanish IT Park in Islamabad, describing it as a major step towards strengthening the country’s digital economy and expanding its information technology exports.

Inaugurated by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on October 10, the Daanish IT Park aims to provide a dedicated space for young developers, technology professionals and startups to develop their skills, pursue innovation and contribute to Pakistan’s growing IT sector.

Dr. Munir said the park would help young people advance their careers while enabling Pakistan to increase its software and IT exports. He emphasised that talent from across the country, including smaller cities, should have opportunities to participate in the national digital economy.

Calling the project an important milestone in Pakistan’s digital transformation, the PDA chairperson credited the prime minister and Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja for supporting and advancing the initiative.

The park brings together incubation centres, innovation hubs, startups and industry leaders to create an environment where young people can develop information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) skills, turn ideas into businesses and compete in international markets.

Dr. Munir said the Daanish IT Park represented a practical step towards the government’s Digital Nation Pakistan vision, helping translate digital development plans into opportunities for young entrepreneurs and technology professionals.

Addressing aspiring developers across the country, he said: “To the young Pakistanis writing code in Gilgit, Gwadar or Gujranwala, this is your address. Come and build here.”

He stressed that the park’s long-term success would be measured by the companies established there and the growth in technology exports generated by its businesses.

With a large youth population and growing demand for digital skills, Pakistan has significant potential to expand its technology industry. The Daanish IT Park is intended to support that potential by connecting young talent with the facilities, networks and opportunities needed to develop competitive digital businesses.
