Islamabad: Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited F-9 Park on Saturday to review preparations for Independence Day celebrations. Member Environment CDA, Member Engineering CDA, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, DIG Islamabad and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion. The CDA chairman reviewed the arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations called AzadiFest.
While briefing CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, it was highlighted that various programs were organized at F-9 Park as part of AzadiFest.
The CDA chairman also reviewed the arrangements for the music concert and fireworks display. He said that various events have been organized to celebrate AzadiFest in a grand manner. He ordered a campaign, especially outdoor, regarding AzadiFest to be carried out in Islamabad.
CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa mentioned that AzadiFest included various programs to make everything inclusive. He said that the first ever drone show in Islamabad will also be part of the AzadiFest celebrations. In addition, he announced that a specific area in F-9 Park will be set aside for tree planting so that families, youth and children participating in events can plant trees in the designated area.
Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad emphasized the need for a better traffic plan during the Independence Day celebrations to ensure the best parking arrangements for citizens attending the events. Similarly, F-9 Park should have separate entrance gates and areas for families, children and youth during celebrations to reduce traffic congestion.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed the Islamabad Police to make robust security arrangements.
Special areas will be reserved for the media to cover all events and fireworks during AzadiFest. On the instructions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad will supervise all arrangements for Azadifest related activities at F-9 Park.
