Barrister Gohar, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has announced plans to challenge the recent decision of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) regarding reserved seats in the Supreme Court. Speaking to the media outside the prison, Adiala stressed the urgency of the matter and urged the Supreme Court to speed up the hearing by forming a larger bench.
The PTI chairman said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government would set up a committee to investigate the alleged misconduct faced by party workers. The committee, co-chaired by Barrister Gohar and Sher Afzal Marwat, will make recommendations on how to improve worker behavior and possibly increase their productivity.
Barrister Gohar further disclosed that he along with four other lawyers met the PTI founder to discuss the recent developments in the PHC and the upcoming Senate elections in KP. He assured that the PTI founder’s health was stable and stressed the importance of the upcoming rally in Peshawar on March 23.
