Islamabad: In the case against the arrests of the participants of the Baloch Long March organizers, the High Court summoned the IG and DC Islamabad at 4 pm.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the request of the organizers of the long march, Iman Mazari advocate appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners.
Iman Mazari Advocate told the court that the peaceful Baloch protestors arrived in Islamabad yesterday on which baton charge and force were used, the peaceful protestors were also detained which is illegal, women and children were also included in the protestors.
On the other hand, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has formed a committee to negotiate with the Baloch protesters, which includes three federal ministers. The committee consists of Fawad Hasan Fawad, Murtaza Solangi and Jamal Shah.
Application
Administrators Sami Baloch and Abdul Salam filed the petition through lawyer Iman Mazari. The names of 68 arrested protestors, including male and female university students, are also included with the application.
Secretary Home, IG Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Police Station Tarnool, Ramna, Shalimar, Secretariat, Women Police Station and SHOs of Margalla were also made party to the petition.
The participants of the long march requested the Islamabad High Court to hear the petition today.
In the application, it is stated that the long march started from Turbat to Islamabad on December 6, but the participants of the long march were arrested around 86 night. Applications against the Baloch enforced disappearances are also pending in the Islamabad High Court.
The petition sought an order for the immediate release of all the protestors and the details of the cases registered against the participants of the long march, while restraining the participants from harassing the long march, preventing them from exercising their constitutional right to protest. The order should be declared illegal.
On the other hand, according to the police, stones have been pelted on the police by protesters at Choongi No. 26, while stones were also pelted by protesters at Ayub Chowk.
The police have retaliated and arrested several protestors, and legal action will be taken against those blocking the way and blocking the roads.
