In a shocking incident in Ahmedabad, India, a furious husband sent a parcel containing a bomb to his in-laws after his wife demanded a divorce.
According to reports from Indian media, local police heard a loud explosion in the morning and discovered that a man had sent a bomb-laden parcel to his in-laws’ house, which resulted in three people being injured.
The explosion occurred when the delivery man, named Kirit Sukhadia, was handing over the parcel to a woman. The parcel exploded, injuring three individuals.
Police revealed that 44-year-old Rupen Barot, upset with his wife’s request for a divorce 10 months earlier, took this extreme action to teach his in-laws a lesson. He allegedly learned how to make bombs and homemade firearms online.
The suspect targeted his wife’s brother, Baldev Sukhadia, who was momentarily blinded in the attack but survived. The delivery man and the crate were also injured. Police said Rupen Barot suspected that his wife’s brother was encouraging her to seek a divorce.
