Islamabad: In a major step towards integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Pakistan’s healthcare system, the NUST-based National Center for Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) has partnered with Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) and its affiliated hospitals. . The aim of this partnership is to advance research, diagnostics, development of AI-based healthcare products and other applications of AI technologies in healthcare.
The joint venture outlined in the memorandum of understanding holds immense promise for improving standards of patient care, improving health care outcomes and solving pressing problems. The integration of artificial intelligence into medical systems and medical education will transform the healthcare landscape in this region. The alliance will also streamline the improvement and deployment of NCAI’s AI-driven home healthcare products in the sector and help assess disease trends to perform predictive analytics for preventive action. The collaboration is in line with Pakistan’s national agenda of promoting innovation and driving economic growth, making the country a leader in AI-based healthcare solutions.

Artificial intelligence is radically improving the delivery of healthcare services on the international stage. NCAI is working with a number of leading hospitals to integrate artificial intelligence into the healthcare regime.
