Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday called for a joint strategy to uplift the health sector.
Addressing an event in Islamabad, Iqbal said, “A zero hepatitis campaign was launched during the 16-month rule.” The minister admitted that the health sector faces many challenges.
He urged the need to establish new institutions to uplift the health sector. “It is quite important to provide the best healthcare facilities to every citizen,” he added.
Iqbal asserted, “Without any political differences, providing the best healthcare facilities to every citizen is the highest priority of the government.”

Federal Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday that the country was facing serious economic difficulties.
Expressing his thoughts, Iqbal said, “All the affairs of the government are based on loans. This is a warning sign for us.”
Iqbal urged the need to increase production capacity, revenue and exports in a bid to get the country’s economy back on track.
“The country has no other option except for economic progress up to nine percent,” he added.
